This course is designed to prepare patrol officers, arriving first on scene critical incidents, to be an effective Leader. The course provides officers knowledge, tactics and insight helpful to develop, initiate and successfully complete a credible plan of action to mitigate critical incident circumstances including significant acts of violence and terrorism. Students are exposed to case studies and participate in tabletop exercises that allow them to apply this information to critical incidents encountered in the field.

Prerequisites (SF Bay Area Only):

(SF Bay Area-this course can be FREE-eligible for DHS grant funding through BA-UASI)

Attendees must be full-time peace officers employed within the twelve-county Bay Area UASI Region. This includes the counties of Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey and San Francisco.
